While we’re all still basking in the 80 degree days of sunshine, it’s becoming increasingly clear that fall is definitely in the air and the moist chill of the winter months is just around the corner. This imminent passing of time gives us all even more of an excuse to get outside and enjoy the rays of sunshine while they last, and explore all that Portland has to offer.
In addition to the seemingly constant schedule of outdoor events and activities around town, did you know that the city offers some of the most unique walking routes across the country? From 207 stone, steel, winding and grand staircases; to bridge crossings galore; hill climbs that are sure to get your heart pumping; and over 80 miles of trail access within Forest Park, there is certainly always somewhere to walk.
As if that wasn’t enough great news, we just so happen to carry a plethora of guidebooks describing the walking routes and adventures! So far my favorite walk has involved winding my way through the heart of The Pearl, in and around the hills and staircases of NW Portland, and up to the spectacular view of the Pittock Mansion.
